Little Sandra Samson told me my day would come.
She wrote it on paper with crayon and maccaroni.
The message was vague, assuming there was one.
So I responded to it with chalk and balogna.

"I luv you" it said, but that wasn't all.
"You smell" and "You ugly" I added politely.
When she was done reading she let it fall
and then ran off crying, quite rightly.

To a boy of my age this was not to seem strange,
I had done so three times this week.
The pattern repeated and never did change,
as she'd return with a kiss for my cheek.
